Goals and Objectives

1. To introduce students to the Brown Pelican, the state bird of Louisiana:

   1. Their unique contributions to our ecosystem

   2. Their ability to survive as an endangered species

2. To explain to students how chemicals – in this case DDT – can cause tremendous damage to local flora and fauna.
