Group’s letter lists violations to 2004
"Louisiana Environmental Action Network sent ExxonMobil Chemical Co. a notice of violation and intent to file a citizen lawsuit Monday, alleging numerous violations of state air quality laws dating back to 2004. The notice was also sent to state Department of Environmental Quality and is required before any action can be taken in court.
The
intent of the notice is to allow the parties involved to work things
out before court action is taken, said Adam Babich, with the Tulane
Environmental Law Clinic. The law clinic is representing LEAN and Baton
Rouge resident Stephanie Anthony in the matter." |
