Hall Summit

Hall Summit is located in Red River Parish. As of 2020, the population was 260 (U.S. Census 2020). In 2019, residents gathered at a public hearing to oppose the permit application for the deep wastewater injection well proposed by Pinnergy LLC. Concerns about the well were raised such as: its proximity to water wells, possible contamination of water supplies, smell and noise, runoff, and a reduction in property values (Red River Parish Journal 2019). In 2020, the state Office of Conservation approved the permit (Office of Conservation 2020). Residents who objected to the project are working with an attorney to try to stop the construction of the well (Red River Parish Journal 2020).
