Place

Exploring the environment all around us, and what it can tell us about the past and the present. What human decisions have shaped the environment we live in? How were those decisions made, by whom and why? Did those decisions have different effects on different people? How have things changed?

The following activities can be completed in any order or can be completed individually. They can also be completed as introductory activities for lessons from Unit 3 as the “Engage” portion of a 5E lesson plan. They are appropriate for 6th grade and up, and may be applicable for an English, Science, or Social Studies class as well as hands-on after school programs that allow increased kinetic engagement.
